there are many ways to be a house, 2020 - 2021

Large and small scale sets, props, puppets, and costumes were created using collection materials while living and working at Elsewhere Museum.

This piece is installed as a permanent video installation on the first floor of Elsewhere Museum. The video plays on loop surrounded by some of the objects and materials that were used to make these worlds come to life. Other puppets and sets used in the making of this series were left in various locations on the second floor of the museum to be discovered and repurposed by future artists in residence.

An earlier version of this piece was installed at the Greensboro Project Space Gallery in late 2020 as a part of an Elsewhere group show, Wish You Were Elsewhere. This show featured works from both current residents and alumni as well as various objects and materials from the Elsewhere collection.
